Her unannounced arrival didn't seem to surprise him in the least, neither did the overriding of the lock. She was always welcome, regardless of the circumstances. Whether they were pleasant or not. She was one of only two people on board who was granted that privileged.
He tracked her reflection as she entered. Then his gaze shifted downward, away from both her face and the stars. Her question gave him pause for further thought. It seemed all he'd been doing these past few days was think, evaluate, and self-criticize. Did he see anything interesting?
